Want to learn English online with an experienced teacher?

Online English lessons can be just as effective as English lessons in the classroom. Although, some people prefer their teacher to be in the same room as them! A big positive is that online English language lessons give you more flexibility, you can schedule them when it suits you best, as long as your teacher isn’t normally asleep at that time!

How can I improve my English?
Have you seen my YouTube video with tips and tricks for improving your English? (embed?) That would be a great start.
I use a language teaching method based on natural communication. Every lesson is based on real life situations depending on your English language learning goals. My training materials are based on your needs and the latest information from the major institutions, such as the British Council and Cambridge English. Both are constantly working on improving teaching methods and I listen to them!

Need an English pronunciation teacher?
A lot of people are focused on “Accent Reduction Training” and “Accent Reduction Lessons”. You will be happy to hear that my pronunciation course will be more concerned with the way that you say words and ensuring that you are understood correctly. Your accent will probably change as you will be using facial muscles in a different way, but anyone who tell you that you can “lose your accent fast” is not telling you the full truth.

How do I find the best English tutor for me?
You might be looking for a tutor to help you with speaking practice (to improve your conversation skills), or you might be preparing for an exam (TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge Assessment English etc.) and wish to focus on a specific part of the exam (speaking, reading, listening, or writing).
No matter what you need, I am ready to help you.

For students at a basic level, it is often better to find a tutor who can speak some of your native language. I can speak a little Spanish, but I’m afraid that I don’t speak much more than that.

Do you provide online courses?
This is my speciality. Most of my students are online. However, I do have some face-to-face students who live near me in the south of Spain (Malaga).
In the future, I will provide online video courses for those who aren’t ready for an online tutor yet or want a cheaper way to learn English. Would you be interested in this?

How long are your English lessons?
Standard English lessons are 50 minutes.
English Speak/Conversation lessons are 1 hour.

Which software do you use for English lessons?
The beauty of learning English online is flexibility, and when it comes to software, I can also be flexible. I prefer to use Skype, but I can also set up Google Hangouts, and Zoom. If you have a preferred method, tell me about it and we can work out what works best for you.

Do I have to learn English grammar?
When you begin to learn English, it is more important to speak and grow your vocabulary. However, as you make progress you will have to include some grammar in your learning journey.

If you are at an advanced level you will need to think about correct English sentence structure. But,eventually it will be become second nature and you will forget about the grammar rules you have been consciously applying all this time!

Is there a difference between American English and British English?
YES! In my opinion, there are many differences between British and American English. Definitely pronunciation, but also some spelling and grammar,and even the actual meaning of some words and phrases. Being a native British English speaker, I only teach British English. But, DON’T WORRY, as long as I can understand you, we can work together.

What is your cancellation policy?
You can make changes to your classes up to 24 hours before the start of the class. If you cancel your class less than 24 hours before the class, or if you do not attend class without giving me prior notice, you will lose the credit for that class.
If you cannot attend a class due to technical problems at your end, you will lose the credit for that class. If your teacher cannot attend the class due to a technical problem at their end, the credit will be refunded and we will reschedule the class for another time that suits you.

What if I arrive late to a lesson?
If you arrive late, you lose the time of that class. For example, if you turn up 10 minutes into a 50-minute class, the class will only last 40 minutes. If you late by more than 50% of the class, it will be considered cancelled.
